What is Ensign Athletics?
A non-profit organization aligned with the principles and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and whose mission is to create and support mentoring relationships that assist youth, parents and coaches in their journey toward spiritual, educational, and athletic excellence.
What Do We Do?
Social
EA Social is a unique and safe social media platform that connects young athletes around the world together and those young athletes with world-class athletes known as “Ambassadors.” Ambassadors come from different backgrounds and represent a variety of sports, so there’s someone for everyone! They may share a favorite pre-workout routine one day or a spiritual insight the next.
You can personalize your profile with athletic interests, post photos, follow others and join groups. You’ll see followers’ updates in your news feed and can comment on their activity.
EnsignU
Ensign Athletics develops educational online programming called EnsignU. Ambassadors and experts such as coaches, health and wellness professionals or seminary teachers create uplifting and authentic messages specifically for today’s youth.
EnsignU content is available to all EA members. There is no membership fee but users must create an account and be at least 13 years old.
EA also hosts an exciting podcast where our two hosts interview athletes from around the world and talk important topics for today’s youth athletes.
Events/Camps
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matt. 18:20). At EA we take this truth taught by the Savior seriously. We gather in a number of ways.
We do EA Team Meetings twice a month where one or more of our Ambassadors speak to the youth and answer questions.
Youth also have the opportunity to gather at our sports camps held in locations around the world. These camps focus on specific sports, but also have a strong spiritual aspect. Athletes are a complete person and we want to develop it all.
