Adam Peterson serves as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Assistant Legal Counsel for Ensign Athletics. Since 2012, he has been employed with Seminaries and Institutes of Religion of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Adam is currently a coordinator with S&I, where he supports and trains 60+ volunteer teachers across northern Nevada as well as teaches college-aged students at the Reno Institute of Religion. He loves the youth and young adults with whom he has the blessing of working and teaching. Adam is also a licensed attorney in Utah and Nebraska, practicing primarily in the areas of business and estate planning.
Adam grew up in Cupertino, California, and moved to Orem, Utah, during high school. He grew up playing any sport he could but competed primarily in soccer, baseball and volleyball. Following high school, Adam served a mission in Stockholm, Sweden. Upon his return, he attended BYU-Idaho and received a degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations. Adam continued to graduate school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he earned a law degree and M.B.A., all while catching as many College World Series games as he could.
Adam lives in Sparks, Nevada, with his wife, Stephanie (who was a multi-sport athlete in high school: basketball, volleyball, and tennis), and their five boys: Tanner, Cade, Eli, Janson, and Logan. We got our basketball team!
